Kent Running Two Year Old Anti-Goolsby Ads
October 7, 2010
Perhaps lost in a dream about better days for tax raising, big spending liberal Democrats, Carol Kent has begun to re-run her 2008 TV ads attacking Republican Tony Goolsby. Cable subscribers in the North Dallas District have been treated to this spot over the last day:

“This screw up actually is serving as a great reminder to voters about just what Carol Kent promised them when she was elected in 2008. I have talked to a few today, who told me that they never voted for Carol Kent so that she could vote time and time again to raise gas taxes, raise property taxes. They never voted for her so that she could tow the liberal line, voting over and over for more government spending, bigger government,” said Stefani Carter, Kent’s Republican opponent in this election.
“The voters are shocked that Carol Kent earned the title, “Most out of touch” legislator in Austin, because her votes differed from the core values of her district more than any other elected official in the Texas House,” added Carter.
“Carol Kent is behind in this campaign,” said Carter. “I don’t know if her campaign is just as disorganized as her voting record or perhaps someone advised her to run the exact same campaign she ran last time and she took it literally.”
“Up until now, Carol Kent has run a desperate 100% negative campaign against me. Now she has extended that attack to Tony Goolsby. I am just glad voters are being reminded that this is not the first time she has used an attack to cover her liberal policy positions,” said Carter. “This time voters will not be deceived.”
