March 8, 2011
(Austin, TX) – Representative Stefani Carter (R-Dallas) was among a group of four Republican House members named as a “Rising Star” by the Dallas County Republican Party.
The award was presented as part of a series of recognitions given by the Chairman of the Dallas County Republican Party at their annual Reagan Day Dinner, which was held in Dallas on Saturday, March 5th.
“I really appreciate the support that I’ve received from my fellow Republicans here in Dallas County,” said Carter, “and I look forward to moving forward with a conservative agenda that helps to limit the size of government, spur job growth, and provide folks with the ability to build better lives for themselves and their families.”
The other “Rising Star” award recipients included three other freshmen Dallas County Republican members; Rep. Rodney Anderson (R-Grand Prairie), Rep. Cindy Burkett (R-Mesquite), and Rep. Kenneth Sheets (R-Dallas).
Stefani Carter, a former prosecutor, is serving her first term representing House District 102, which includes parts of the cities of Dallas, Richardson and Garland. She is a native of the Dallas area.
